MIDLAND, TX – A major accident involving a vehicle and an 18 wheeler truck occurred on Sunday, Aug 14, injuring two, one listed in critical condition and one with burn injuries.

The two people were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital Sunday evening after a tractor trailer truck ran off the road about 20 mi. south of Interstate 20 on South County Road 1160 at 6:43 p.m., according to police officials.

MyWestTexas.com reports:

The truck proceeded to crash into a 138 kilovolt electric power line. One of the two patients sent to the hospital had burn injuries, and one was listed in critical condition.

The crash remained under investigation by the Department of Public Safety late Sunday and names of the victims had not been released.
