BUENA VISTA TWP. — A young woman driving a blue sedan heading north on Portsmouth Road collided with a semi-truck headed westbound on M-46 early Friday afternoon, Feb. 24, in Buena Vista Township.

The collision happened at Portsmouth Road and Holland Avenue.

Michigan State Police and the Buena Vista police and fire departments arrived on the scene.

The female driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

“It was a serious accident,” said Buena Vista Police Chief Brian Booker.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
