FORT WORTH, TX – Northlake Texas police arrived at the scene of a crash between two 18 wheelers that occurred around 11:15 p.m. late Tuesday night on April 10 near the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

A gravel truck was one of the two semi trucks involved in an accident in Fort Worth, TX on April 10, 2012 on the I-35W Frontage Rd and Highway 114.

A tandem trailer owned by Averitt Express was one of the two semi trucks involved in an accident in Fort Worth, TX on April 10, 2012 at the intersection of Highway 114 and I-35W.

In an article at MyFOXDFW.com, the Police said that a tandem 18-wheeler  truck was turning from westbound Highway 114 onto the southbound I-35W frontage road when the tandem truck was broadsided by an 18-wheeler gravel truck, causing diesel fuel and gravel to scatter all over the intersection.

According to CW33 News, truck accident Hazmat crews, as well as TxDOT officials, were called to the intersection to remove the fuel and wreckage. Both directions of Hwy 114 were closed until mid-Tuesday morning. Traffic on I-35W was not affected.

No injuries were reported at the time of the accident, but both 18-wheelers suffered heavy damage.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
