WEBSTER PARISH, La. — One man was killed on Friday afternoon, Nov. 2 when he was thrown from his vehicle in a logging truck and vehicle collision on Highway 371 near Webster Parish Louisiana.

The accident occurred on US Highway 371 about two miles south of LA Highway 531 in Webster Parish where state troopers were dispatch shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Fox News reports:

The investigation revealed a van driven by Bobby Young, 66, of Coushatta was headed north on Highway 371, when for reasons still under investigation, Young’s vehicle crossed the center line and hit a logging truck driven by Herbert Sawyer, 49, of West Monroe head-on. Young’s vehicle then left the right side of the roadway and rolled. Young was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and was thrown from the vehicle. Young was pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster Parish Coroner.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
