AUSTIN, Texas — A truck accident involving a garbage dump truck and blue pickup truck in Southeast Travis County, Texas has killed one person this morning.

According to Travis County deputies, the crash happened Friday morning, Feb. 22, on FM 812 at State Highway 130 when a garbage truck collided with a blue pickup truck near Austin, TX.

Austin News reports:

The lanes heading east on FM 812 are closed, and traffic is being diverted to SH 130. The lanes heading west, however, are open.

Officials said the lanes heading east will be closed for a while as authorities clear the wreckage and Texas Department of Public Safety detectives investigate.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
