MENOMONIE, WI — A semi truck driver, traveling from Lansing Michigan, was killed when his big rig crashed and plunged into the Red Cedar River in Menomonie, WI.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred at about 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, March 5, when the trucker, heading west on the I-94, lost control on the snow covered roads and crashed into the Red Cedar River.

Troopers say the semi truck has been pulled out from the water. The truck driver, a man, was found dead inside. Crews are still looking for a male passenger.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
