BREMOND, TX – A trucker from Pearland, Texas was killed by an oncoming semi truck on State Highway 6 just outside Bremond, TX on Tuesday evening, May 28, 2013 when he stepped out of his cab.
The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. in an unincorporated part of Falls County, TX about 1/2 mile north of Falls County Road 206 on Texas State Highway 6 just south of Farm to Market 46 about 4.7 miles outside of Bremond. The city of Bremond is located in Robertson County.
The deceased trucker was identified as Phillip Lynn Henson, 52 years old from Pearland, TX. According to the Department of Public Safety, Phillip Lynn Henson was driving north on Highway 6 in a 2012 Internationaltruck tractor when he was struck by another northbound semi truck that was traveling behind him when he stepped out on the road to inspect his cargo.
The driver of the other semi truck, a 2014 International, was identified as Jose Moctezuma-Juarez, from Bryan, TX. Henson died at the scene right before 5 p.m.
