Author: DEL VALLE, TX – On Saturday, September 28, a 18-wheeler and SUV crashed in Del Valle, Texas claiming the life of the SUV driver in Del Valle, Texas. Del Valle is located in Travis County in the central part of the state about 7.2 miles southeast of Austin.

The victim was identified as 27-year-old Flavio Mondragon, which was confirmed by a Texas Department of Public Safety official on Monday.
The accident occurred on FM 973 between FM 969 and Harold Green Road about 8:40 a.m., DPS officials have said. Mondragon, the driver of the SUV, was pronounced dead at 8:42 a.m., an official said Monday.
According to officials, the driver of the semi truck was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with non life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains ubder investigation.
