LAKE DELTON, WI – A tractor trailer truck rolled over and lost its load last Thursday on a Wisconsin Dells Highway. The truck accident happened on Interstate 90-94 and Highway 12 in Lake Delton, Sauk County, Wisconsin. The area is north of the state capital of Madison in the central section of the state, 208 miles southeast of Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota and 191 miles northwest of Chicago, Illinois.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, March 4th, an unidentified truck driver was hauling a double bottom tractor trailer truck loaded with a variety of cargo including computers, tires, and rivets.
The 18 wheeler was headed west on Interstate 90-94 in the left hand lane of traffic. As the truck driver was crossing the bridge over Highway 12 the second trailer became detached from the first trailer and truck cab and flipped over, causing the truck to crash.
The second trailer, which was detached in the truck accident, then slid down the bridge railing. This action sliced open the truck trailer and the cargo spilled out onto Highway 12 below.
