WARNER TOWNSHIP, MI – Jeffrey Zaslow, a famous Michigan author, was killed on Friday, Feb. 10, when his car slid into the path of an oncoming semi truck while traveling on the M-32. Warner Township is located in Antrim County, MI. in the northern part of the state about 5 miles northwest of Elmira, 246 miles northwest of Detroit and 187 miles north of Lansing .
The accident occurred on Friday morning at 9 a.m. on M-32 as the 53 year old bestselling author was returning back from a book-signing in Petoskey.
Zaslow was known for writing a book about U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ recovery from a gunshot wound to the head.

Zaslow co-authored the book about Randy Pausch, a Carnegie-Mellon University professor, who gave his last lecture to his students after his diagnosis with terminal pancreatic cancer.
Zaslow first wrote a Wall Street Journal column about Pausch’s last lecture. He told the Flint Journal he wasn’t surprised when publishers expressed interest in a book.
“I knew it was the story of a lifetime,” he said.
Zaslow was married to Sherry Margolis, a reporter with Fox 2 Detroit. The couple have three daugthers ages 16, 20 and 22.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
