WACO, TX – A trucker was killed on October 3, when his semi truck crashed and caught fire on I-35 in McLennan County, TX near Waco. The city of Waco is located in McLennan County, Texas in the central part of the state about 95.2 miles southwest of Dallas.

The accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. on October 3, on the northbound I-35 near mile marker 355 about 21 miles northeast of Waco. According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the accident was between West, TX and Abbott, TX close to the Hill County line.

There were no details released as to the identity of the trucker, whose body was discovered in the cab of the wrecked truck.

The semi truck’s cargo was fruits and vegetables, which spilled in the wreck. Diesel fuel was also spilled in the accident so the hazardous material had to be cleaned up as well.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
