PORT ARTHUR, TX – A semi truck jackknifed on Thursday, October 31, in Port Arthur, TX, spilling diesel fuel and causing a closure of the Rainbow Bridge on October 31, 2013.
Port Arthur is located in Jefferson County, Texas in the southeastern part of the state on the Gulf coast on the border with Louisiana.
The accident occurred around 9:43 a.m. on State Highway 73 on the Rainbow Bridge in Port Arthur. There were no other vehicles involved and no one was injured.
The big rig’s fuel tank was punctured in the incident causing a fuel leak that lead to the closure of the bridge for hours.
