CENTRALIA, WA – A truck accident in Washington State left three people injured and shut down part of a highway for hours during the morning commute on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. The collision between a semi trailer truck and two cars occurred in a construction zone on Interstate 5 near the city of Centralia, WA near the border between Lewis and Thurston Counties. The truck accident area is south of the Olympia metro region in the west-central section of the state, 85 miles southwest of Seattle, WA and 90 miles north of Portland, Oregon.

Emergency personnel with the West Thurston Regional Fire Authority responded to the scene of the truck accident and offered aid to the victims.

At about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning a 2010 Freightliner semi tractor truck driven by a 39 year old driver from Olympia, WA was traveling south on Interstate 5 near Centralia, WA, just south of Grand Mound. PLEASANTVILLE, PA – A deadly truck accident Monday morning, May 10, 2010, on a highway in Bedford County, Pennsylvania killed two truck drivers and shut down the highway for hours. The collision, which included a total of five vehicles, occurred on Route 56 in West Saint Claire Township near Pleasantville, and forced several families from their homes. The truck accident area is in the far south-west section of the state, about 40 miles south of Altoona, PA and 45 miles north of Cumberland, Maryland.

The impact of the rear-end truck accident crushed the back of the van and sent it across the interstate and into a ditch at the side of the highway.

The multi vehicle truck accident began at around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning when a 2000 Sterling semi trailer truck hauling a cargo of ice cream was coming down Pleasantville Mountain traveling east on Route 56 about two miles west of the intersection of Route 96, Pleasantville. TEXARKANA, TX – Three people were injured Friday, MAY 7, 2010, in a multi vehicle truck accident in Bowie County, Texas. The collision occurred in a construction zone on Interstate 30 near the town of Texarkana. The accident area is near the border with Arkansas in the far northeast section to the state, 180 miles east of Dallas, TX and 70 miles north of Shreveport, Louisiana.

The semi truck had damage to the front cab section as it sat at the side of the highway.

At around 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon a Celadon semi trailer truck was headed east on Interstate 30 in Bowie County, near Texarkana, TX. HARRISON COUNTY, WV: One person was injured Thursday morning, May 6, 2010, in a semi truck accident in Harrison County, West Virginia that closed the highway for several hours. The truck driver and a passenger were traveling on State Route 20 when the one truck collision occurred just south of the town of Romines Mills. The truck accident area is in the north central section of the state, about 45 miles south of Morgantown, WV and 250 miles west of Washington, DC.

West Virginia State Police and local emergency personnel from nearby Anmoore, Stonewood and Nutter Fort quickly responded to the scene of the truck accident.

At around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning truck driver David Pigott was driving south on Route 20 in Harrison County, West Virginia. The truck driver’s son, David W. PARADISE, PA – Three people were injured early Tuesday morning, May 4, 2010, when a semi trailer truck rear-ended another semi truck on a highway in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The two-truck accident occurred on State Route 30, also known as Lincoln Highway, in the city of Paradise, PA. The area of the collision is east of the Lancaster metro region in the southeast section of the state, 60 miles west of Philadelphia and 90 miles northeast of Baltimore, Maryland.

The impact of the truck accident caused damage to the back trailer of the front semi truck and crushed the cab of the second truck which bore the logo of A. Duie Pyle, a transportation company based in West Chester, PA.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning two semi trailer trucks were traveling east on Route 30. The two 18 wheelers were in the same lane of traffic, one behind the other. As the two semi trucks traveled through the 3300 block of Lincoln Highway East in the township of Paradise the front truck suddenly came to a stop on the highway. YUBA CITY, CA – A semi tanker truck crashed Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2010, on a California highway, spilling aqueous ammonia on the roadway and closing down travel lanes for over seven hours. The truck accident occurred on California Highway 99, near Yuba City in Sutter County, CA. The accident area is north of the Sacramento metro region in the central-north section of the state, about 125 miles northeast of San Francisco and 120 miles south of Redding, CA.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the truck accident and cordoned off the area around the overturned 18 wheeler and the spilled hazardous material on the highway.

At about 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon 62 year old truck driver Richard Dean Spence of Wheatland, CA was northbound on Highway 99 in a double tractor trailer passing through Sutter County south of Yuba City. The truck driver was hauling a load of toxic aqueous ammonia in the tanker truck to be delivered at a destination in the Pleasant Grove area. CHICAGO, IL – Two semi trucks collided Friday morning, April 30, 2010, and erupted in flames on an interstate on the south side of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois. The double truck accident occurred when one of the trucks was attempting to change lanes on Interstate 57 and crashed into a second semi trailer. The accident area is in the northeast section of the state 89 miles south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and 95 miles northwest of South Bend, Indiana.

According to an Illinois State trooper at the scene, as the truck driver was changing lanes he lost control of his rig and slid into the path of another semi truck already in the right lane of the interstate.

Shortly after 7:00 a.m. Friday morning a semi truck was traveling in the northbound left lane on Interstate 57 in Chicago. The truck was not carrying a load at the time and was not pulling a trailer. FOND DU LAC, WI – A semi tractor trailer truck carrying cattle overturned on a Wisconsin highway Thursday morning, April 30, 2010, as the driver attempted to avoid colliding with a vehicle that had pulled in front of the truck. The truck accident occurred on the Highway 151 bypass near the city of Fond du Lac, WI. The accident area is in the east central section of the state, 66 miles northwest of Milwaukee, WI and 74 miles south of Green Bay, WI.

The semi trailer truck was carrying 11 cows and 2 calves at the time of the truck accident. The rollover injured several of the animals and one had to be euthanized.

FORT MYERS, FL – A driver narrowly escaped being fatally injured in a truck accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon, April, 27, 2010, in Lee County, Florida. The accident occurred when the semi truck’s cab got caught on an electrical utility wire on State Road 82 east of Interstate 75, near the Forum Shopping Center in Fort Myers, FL. The area is in the southwest section of the state, 126 miles south of Tampa-St. Petersburg and 156 miles northwest of Miami, FL.

Police and emergency workers responded to the truck accident scene and found that the driver had narrowly escaped injury and was able to walk away.

On Tuesday afternoon driver Jorge Sosa was westbound in his 18 wheeler on State Road 82, headed to Lehigh to pick cargo that he would then take to a destination in Miami. ROYALTON, NY – A semi truck driver hit a man on a riding lawn mower Saturday morning, April 24. 2010, in Niagara County, New York. The truck accident happened northeast of the Buffalo metropolitan region, on Route 93, known locally as Akron Road, in the town of Royalton, NY. The accident area is in the far northwest section of the state, east of the Canadian border, 47 miles west of Rochester, NY and 129 miles northeast of Erie, Pennsylvania.
