CHRISTIANA, DE – A truck accident on a highway in New Castle County, Delaware caused major traffic delays Thursday afternoon, December 2nd. A semi trailer flipped over as it was taking the ramp from Interstate 95 onto Delaware State Route 1 near the city of Christiana, DE. The truck accident area is in the far north part of the state about 10 miles southwest of the city of Wilmington, about 67 miles northeast of Baltimore, Maryland and about 41 miles southwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The accident happened on the western outskirts of Wilmington, DE in the far north section of the state, 15 miles northeast of Newark, DE and 32 miles southwest of Philadelphia, PA

Delaware woman hits semi truck after running a red light

At approximately 11:45 a.m. Saturday, 50 year old Mary A. Deconstanza of Wilmington, DE was driving a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle, traveling east on Faulkland Road near Brandywine State Park. According to local police, when Ms. Deconstanza reached the intersection of Faulkland Road and Newport Gap Pike/Route 41, she allegedly failed to obey her traffic signal which was red.
