LAFAYETTE, IN – A semi truck driver from Joshua, Texas rolled his big rig while averting a collision on Interstate 65 in Lafayette, IN. The city of Lafayette is located in Tippecanoe County in the northwestern part of the state about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – A bus returning from church camp crashed in Indianapolis, IN killing 3 passengers on July 27, 2013. The bus, with 37 people aboard, was returning to the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis and was only about a mile and a half from its destination after a 365 mile return trip. Among the occupants were adults, teenagers and children.

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, IN – A man died in a truck accident Monday night on a highway in Vanderburgh County in Southern Indiana. The semi trailer and passenger car caught fire after the deadly incident which occurred on U.S. Highway 41 where it meets Rusher Creek Road. The truck accident area is in the far southwest corner of the state near the borders with Illinois and Kentucky, about 25 miles southeast of Mount Carmel, IL and about 52 miles northwest of Owensboro, KY.

On Monday night, November 8, 48 year old truck driver Samuel Rouse of Granite City, Illinois was driving a 2007 Freightliner semi trailer truck through Vanderburgh County, in the southern section of Indiana. LEBANON, IN – Two semi trailer trucks collided and burst into flames Monday afternoon in a truck accident in Boone County, Indiana. The rear-end crash happened on southbound Interstate 65 near the exit for State Route 39, just south of the town of Lebanon. The truck accident area is in the central part of the state, just northwest of Indianapolis, about 65 miles east of Danville, Illinois and about 124 miles west of Greenville, Ohio.

On Monday afternoon, November 1, a semi trailer truck was traveling south on Interstate 65 through Boone County, IN when the rig had an unknown mechanical failure. The 18 wheeler was hauling a load of car parts at the time, but it is not known what company owns the tractor trailer. The unidentified truck driver pulled the semi trailer off the highway and onto the shoulder near the exit for State Route 39. Two men were working to repair the disabled semi trailer, one inside the cab section and the other outside standing on the truck’s step.

LAFAYETTE, IN – A semi trailer truck transporting new passenger cars overturned Friday morning, July 23, on a highway in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The tractor trailer was reportedly swerving for several miles before it apparently went out of control and flipped over in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near Lafayette, IN. The truck accident area is in the northwest section of the state about 63 miles northwest of Indianapolis, IN and about 125 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

All of the cars were damaged in the tractor trailer semi truck rollover accident.

WOLCOTT, IN – Two drivers were injured in a truck accident Monday morning, June 28, on a highway in White County, Indiana. The collision occurred when a semi trailer truck hit a passenger mini van on Highway 24 in the town of Wolcott, IN, west of the city of Monticello, IN. The truck accident area is in the northwest section of the state, about 31 miles northwest of Lafayette, IN and about 98 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

Wolcott police shut down a section of Highway 24 surrounding the truck accident site while emergency personnel treated the victims and investigators reconstructed the collision.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, 33 year old Timothy Pritchett of Hopkinsville, Kentucky was driving his semi trailer truck on Highway 24 in White County, IN. As he drove through the town of Wolcott, he apparently lost control of his 18 wheeler truck and crashed into a mini van driven by 50 year old Jeffrey Hendress of Wolcott, IN. WARSAW, IN – Three semi trailers were involved in a truck accident Wednesday afternoon, June 23, on a highway in Kosciusko County, Indiana. One of the truck drivers was injured in the three rig collision that occurred on U.S. 30 near the city of Warsaw, IN. The accident area is in the north central section of the state, about 40 miles west of Fort Wayne, IN and about 123 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

MUNCIE, IN – The front section of a semi truck is dangling off a highway bridge in Muncie, Indiana after colliding with a passenger car. The accident happened Wednesday afternoon at State Highway Indiana 67 Bypass and Frontage Road (State Road 3) north of the city. The area is in the east-central section of the state, 63 miles northeast of Indianapolis and 230 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

On Wednesday afternoon a truck driver for Provision Farms of Ossian, IN was driving south on the Indiana 67 Bypass, hauling a load of soybeans. As he reached the intersection of Frontage Road (State Road 3), a passenger car attempted to merge onto the bypass directly in front of the Provision Farms trailer truck. ORLEANS, IN – A semi truck lost part of its load on an Indiana highway, crushing two vehicles and killing three people. The truck accident occurred Monday evening on Indiana Highway 37 near the city of Orleans. The area is in Orange County in the southern section of the state, 90 miles south of Indianapolis, IN and 54 miles northwest of Louisville, KY.

Highway 37 was closed for about six hours after the truck accident.

According to Indiana authorities who responded to the truck accident scene, 33 year old Israel Rankin of Paoli, IN was driving his flatbed truck southbound on Highway 37. Rankin is the owner of the truck and was hauling a load of steel coils, transporting the heavy coils from Portage to Jeffersonville for Sonny’s Truck Sales, based in Paoli. ... Read More
