TOPEKA, KS – Two people were injured Monday afternoon, December 6, in a truck accident on a highway in Shawnee County, Kansas. The crash, which involved a semi trailer truck and a passenger car, occurred on Interstate 470 as it passes through the city of Topeka. The accident area is in the northeast corner of the state, about 231 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma and about 63 miles west of Kansas City, Missouri.
On Monday afternoon 45 year old David Ray Vandenburg of Chester, Montana was driving a 1996 Kenworth tractor trailer west on Interstate 470, traveling through Shawnee County, Kansas. TOPEKA, KS – A truck driver was injured Wednesday morning, October 6, when his semi trailer truck collided with a Union Pacific freight train in Shawnee County, Kansas. The deadly collision occurred when a semi trailer truck slammed head-on into a pick-up truck on U.S. Highway 50/56 near the town of Wright, KS. WICHITA, Kansas — A train and semi truck accident occurred Thursday evening in North Wichita Kansas when a train hit the back of a semi truck stuck on the tracks. The accident happened at 37th Street North and Broadway.
Traffic in Wichita was backed up for some time Thursday evening due to a train accident.
Police say a semi was stopped on the tracks when the crossing arms came down over it.
The truck tried to move but couldn’t and was struck in the back end by the train.
Fortunately no one was hurt in the accident.
