OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A deadly wreck at the Belle Isle bridge occurred Friday morning in OK City when a semi tractor trailer truck plummeted 40 feet over the Belle Isle bridge, killing the truck driver.

Investigators said the truck driver, Joseph K. Watkins, 40, was trying to avoid the other crash on the I-44 when he went off the bridge. Watkins had to be cut from the cab of the truck and was taken to a local hospital before dying from his injuries. ... Read More

POPLAR GROVE, IL – Seventeen children were injured Monday when a semi truck collided with their school bus in Boone County, Illinois. The truck accident happened on Illinois 76 near Poplar Grove, IL. The area is in the northern section of the state 20 miles northeast of Rockford, IL and 78 miles northwest of Chicago, IL.

According to an accident reconstructionist, the truck driver steered off the roadway and hit the bus in an area where it would have less impact on the passengers. Seventeen children were injured.

The accident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon as the school children from North Boone Upper Elementary School were being transported home after the school day. GONZALES, CA – A tanker truck crashed and rolled over in California Thursday causing a massive fuel spill. The truck accident happened on Highway 101 in Gonzales in Monterey County. DAVENPORT, NY – A woman died Friday morning after a tractor trailer truck crashed into her home in Delaware County, New York. The truck accident happened on State Highway 23 in the town of Davenport. MUNCIE, IN – The front section of a semi truck is dangling off a highway bridge in Muncie, Indiana after colliding with a passenger car. The accident happened Wednesday afternoon at State Highway Indiana 67 Bypass and Frontage Road (State Road 3) north of the city. NEW HARTFORD, CT – Diesel fuel spilled on a Connecticut highway Tuesday morning following a truck accident, shutting down traffic for hours. ORLEANS, IN – A semi truck lost part of its load on an Indiana highway, crushing two vehicles and killing three people. The truck accident occurred Monday evening on Indiana Highway 37 near the city of Orleans. The area is in Orange County in the southern section of the state, 90 miles south of Indianapolis, IN and 54 miles northwest of Louisville, KY.

Highway 37 was closed for about six hours after the truck accident.

At around 2:30 p.m. Feb 10, last Wednesday afternoon, 31 year old Chawn Griffin of Groveport, OH was driving his tractor trailer south on Interstate 71. As he drove in the area of Route 56, Mr. Griffin was attempting to change lanes when he lost control of his 18 wheeler on the windy, snowy highway.
