SANTA BARBARA, CA – Three people were killed Tuesday morning, August 24, when an out of control semi tractor trailer truck crashed into their home in Santa Barbara County, California. The trailer truck accident occurred just off California State Highway 154 at the San Marcos Pass, near the city of Santa Barbara. The accident area is in the southwest section of the state near the Pacific Ocean, about 75 miles north of Los Angeles and about 244 miles south of Fresno.

Shortly before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning 51 year old truck driver Joaquin Garcia Morales of Oxnard, CA was driving a semi tractor truck loaded with a cargo of gravel south on California State Highway 154. Mr. Morales owned the semi truck and had leased the two trailers he was hauling. He had just picked up his load at a quarry near Santa Ynez. FLORENCE, OR – A semi trailer truck accident Wednesday morning, August 18, shut down a highway near a scenic area in Lane County, Oregon. The collision involved two other vehicles and occurred on Oregon State Highway 101 near the city of Florence, OR. The accident area is in the far west central section of the state on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, about 60 miles west of Eugene, OR and about 180 miles north of Crescent City, California.

After hitting the Ford the semi trailer truck continued to slide along the highway colliding with a 2010 Nissan Sentra occupied by a 19 year old female tourist from Switzerland.

NORTH PLATTE, NE – A man was killed Monday afternoon, August 16, when his semi tanker truck flipped over and spilled thousands of gallons of fuel on a highway in Lincoln County, Nebraska. The truck accident occurred in the city of North Platte, on State Highway 83 near the North Platte River Bridge. The accident area is in the central west section of the state about 140 miles east of Sterling, Colorado and about 96 miles north of Oberlin, Kansas.

UNITY, WI – A milk tanker truck crashed on a highway bridge and then burst into flames Thursday morning, August 12, in Marathon/Clark County, Wisconsin. The single truck accident happened on State Highway 13 in the town of Unity, WI and may have occurred after the driver fell asleep. The truck accident area is in the central section of the state between the cities of Wausau and Eau Claire, about 132 miles west of Green Bay, WI and about 148 miles east of St. Paul, Minnesota.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA – Fifty homes and at least one business were evacuated Wednesday afternoon, Aug 11, after a semi tanker truck accident that spilled potentially dangerous chemicals in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The single vehicle rollover collision occurred on the entrance ramp to the Parkway North Highway/I-279, close to the exit to Bellevue-West View in Ross Township. NEW BADEN, IL – The driver of a semi trailer was seriously injured Friday afternoon, August 6, in a fiery truck accident on a highway in Clinton County, Illinois. The collision, which involved four other vehicles, occurred on Interstate 64 near the city of New Baden, IL, about 30 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri. Shortly before noon on Friday a semi trailer truck was traveling west on Interstate 64 in Clinton County, IL. PENSACOLA, FL – A semi trailer truck carrying thousands of pounds of cheese burst into flames Thursday afternoon, Aug 5, as it traveled on a highway in Escambia County, Florida. The truck accident occurred after the brakes failed on the 18 wheeler on a section of Interstate 10 near the city of Pensacola, FL. SOUTHBURY, CT – A truck driver reportedly fell asleep Monday morning, August 2, and crashed his semi trailer truck on a highway in New Haven County, Connecticut. The trailer of the truck was filled with a cargo of candy when it overturned and spilled its load onto Interstate 84 near the city of Southbury, CT, impacting traffic flow for several hours. The accident area is in the southwest section of the state about 30 miles north of Bridgeport, CT and about 59 miles southeast of Poughkeepsie, New York.

The impact of the truck accident broke the trailer on the semi truck open and the cargo of candy spilled out onto the highway. Officers with the Connecticut State Police shut down the interstate surrounding the accident site while highway crews worked to clear the candy off the road.

ALBANY, NY – A driver of a Toyota Corolla going the wrong way on an interstate set off a deadly truck accident early Thursday morning, July 29, in Albany County, New York. The head-on collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 787 near the state capital of Albany and would kill the driver of the passenger car and leave the semi trailer truck a burning wreck. The accident area is in the east central section of the state about 150 miles north of New York City and about 40 miles northwest of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

The impact of the truck accident apparently damaged at least one of the fuel tanks and the semi trailer exploded into flames. After the initial collision the semi trailer skidded about 100 yards down the interstate, its tires melting down to the rims.

Shortly after 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning 46 year old truck driver Talikai Ayuba of Albany, NY was driving a semi trailer truck south on Interstate 787 through Albany, NY.
