The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has published regulations that ban the use of cell phones while driving. The rule will be effective in about 30 days.
The Federal Government plans to increase truck driver’s pay in an effort to reduce the death toll due to speeding, driver fatigue, overloaded trucks or taking drugs to stay awake.

BALLINGER, TX – A bus driver carrying college students and faculty from Abilene Christian University lost control and struck a concrete culvert which caused the bus to overturn resulting in one death and critically injuring four others, officials said.
