GREENWICH, OH – A semi trailer truck burst into flames Thursday, July 1, after setting off a chain reaction truck accident on a highway in Huron County, Ohio. The multi vehicle collision occurred as traffic was stalled at a construction area on Ohio 13 on the borderline between Huron and Richland Counties near the city of Greenwich. The truck accident area is in the north central section of the state about 104 miles west of Youngstown, OH and about 86 miles southeast of Toledo, OH.

At around 11:50 a.m. Thursday nine vehicles were stopped in a northbound lane of Ohio 13 at Baseline Road in Huron County, OH. The vehicles were stopped due to a road paving project. A semi trailer truck carrying a load of food products and driven by 50 year old John S. Fahrni of Navarre, OH came up upon the stopped vehicles but was traveling too fast to avoid a collision. ... SAYLORSBURG, PA – A man died after his car was hit head-on by a semi tractor trailer truck Monday, July 5, on a highway in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The deadly collision involved three vehicles and fourteen people and occurred on Route 33 in Saylorsburg, PA. The accident area is in the far eastern section of the state near the border with New Jersey, about 50 miles southeast of Scranton, PA and about 77 miles west of Newark, New Jersey.

The impact of the truck accident caused both vehicles to crash into the embankment. The car was almost completely crushed while the cab of the semi truck was turned backwards.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, 28 year old Jaswinder Singh of New Jersey was driving a semi trailer truck south on Route 33. GRAPEVINE, CA – An out of control semi trailer truck caused a truck accident Saturday morning, July 3, on a highway in Kern County, California. The multi vehicle collision occurred on the Interstate 5 near the unincorporated community of Grapevine, CA, about 7 miles north of the town of Lebec, CA. The truck accident area is in the southwest section of the state about 80 miles north of Los Angeles and about 300 miles southwest of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Emergency personnel responded to the truck accident and treated the truck driver and the driver of the Honda, Mr. Ash, for minor injuries.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, 47 year old Guillermo Martinez of Hialeah, Florida was driving a 2000 Freightliner semi truck north on Interstate 5 in Kern County, CA. As the truck driver was traveling down the Grapevine Pass his brakes caught on fire and he lost control of the 18 wheeler truck. WOLCOTT, IN – Two drivers were injured in a truck accident Monday morning, June 28, on a highway in White County, Indiana. The collision occurred when a semi trailer truck hit a passenger mini van on Highway 24 in the town of Wolcott, IN, west of the city of Monticello, IN. The truck accident area is in the northwest section of the state, about 31 miles northwest of Lafayette, IN and about 98 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

Wolcott police shut down a section of Highway 24 surrounding the truck accident site while emergency personnel treated the victims and investigators reconstructed the collision.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, 33 year old Timothy Pritchett of Hopkinsville, Kentucky was driving his semi trailer truck on Highway 24 in White County, IN. As he drove through the town of Wolcott, he apparently lost control of his 18 wheeler truck and crashed into a mini van driven by 50 year old Jeffrey Hendress of Wolcott, IN. SPRINGFIELD, MA – A rollover truck accident Saturday afternoon, June 26, shut down a section of road for several hours in Hampden County, Massachusetts. There were no serious injuries in the single vehicle incident which occurred on Page Boulevard in Springfield, MA and leaked diesel fuel and left debris strewn across the roadway. The truck accident area is in the southwest section of the state, about 90 miles west of Boston, MA and about 27 miles north of Hartford, Connecticut.

Springfield firefighters were also at the scene of the rollover truck accident and worked to clean up and contain the diesel fuel that had spilled from the 18 wheeler.

MONROE COUNTY, PA – A driver received multiple charges after a deadly truck accident Thursday night in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The semi trailer truck collided with several cars before bursting into flames on Route 209 near the city of East Stroudsburg. The accident area is in the northeast section of the state on the border with New Jersey, about 99 miles north of Philadelphia, PA and about 65 miles west of Newark, New Jersey.

Local firefighters and rescue personnel responded to the scene of the truck accident and immediately provided aid to the victims and worked to extinguish the burning semi trailer.

At about 8:00 p.m. Thursday night, June 24, William E. Blackburn of Rochester Hills, Minnesota was driving a semi trailer truck north in the right lane of Route 209 in Monroe County, PA. One of the truck drivers was injured in the three rig collision that occurred on U.S. 30 near the city of Warsaw, IN. ROSEVILLE, MI – A man was seriously injured Tuesday morning, June 22, in a truck accident in Macomb County, Michigan. The collision between the car and semi trailer truck occurred at the intersection of Common Road and Groesbeck Highway in Roseville, MI, a suburb in the northeast section of the Detroit metropolitan region. HAMBURG, NY – A family of four was trapped in their car under a semi after a truck accident Friday morning, June 18, in Erie County, New York. The collision with the semi trailer occurred on the New York Thruway in the city of Hamburg, near the Camp Road overpass on the highway. The accident area is part of the Buffalo metro region in the northwest section of the state, about 84 miles southwest of Rochester, NY and about 85 miles north of Warren, Pennsylvania.

Emergency personnel from Hamburg responded to the scene of the accident and were later joined by teams from Scranton and Newton Abbott. The rescue team used tools to extricate the three adults from the car. A tow truck was brought in to help get the car out from under the truck’s trailer.

At about 10:00 a.m. Friday morning 50 year old Shelton Rankins of North Carolina was driving a semi trailer truck west on the New York Thruway in Erie County, NY. Mr. Rankins was driving the truck for Barnes Transportation, based in Wilson, North Carolina.
