BETHESDA, MD – The driver of a semi trailer was killed Monday morning, October 18, when his 18 wheeler tractor trailer rolled over on a highway in Montgomery County, Maryland. The driver was critically injured in the truck accident which occurred on the Bishop Ford Freeway in South Holland, IL. Early Thursday afternoon an unidentified truck driver was traveling northbound on the Bishop Ford Freeway in Cook County, IL. The freeway is also known as Interstate 94. CHICKALOON, AK – A semi tanker truck overturned Thursday afternoon, October 7, spilling thousands of gallons of diesel fuel on a highway in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska. There were no serious injuries in the collision that occurred on the Glenn Highway near the town of Chickaloon and workers were able to keep the fuel from entering two nearby rivers. On Thursday afternoon 53 year old Tracie Lyons of Valdez, AK was driving a 2003 Vanderbilt semi tanker truck east on the Glenn Highway, also known as Alaska State Highway 1. He had just picked up approximately 8,800 gallons of diesel fuel and was headed back to Valdez.
